Dustin is VERY Detailed Oriented and found items and suggestions on the home that I would have never thought of, the report provided very good insight on how to move forward with the sale of the home!  The staff at API was great to work with!

Atlanta property inspections gave me a very competitor quote and stuck to it for final pricing. They were able to get someone out to do the inspection so quickly. Frank and James were very thorough and helpful during the process they encouraged me to look at what they found, the good and bad, so I knew exactly what I am buying.  I couldn't have asked for a better inspection experience!

The inspector Frank came to our house to inspect the deck and provide a list of safety problems. While he was there we asked him to take a look at some termite damage in the attic.  When he went to the attic he spotted problems with a squirrel infestation requiring immediate action to correct for chewed wiring and unsanitary conditions.  We were unaware of this problem.  Frank provided a comprehensive inspection report in PDF format including multiple photos showing deck post deterioration, sagging joists and yes even a picture of the live squirrel in the attic. Frank is totally professional, knows his area of expertise very well and offers sound recommendations on how to correct problems without spending money for unnecessary improvements.  For example he told us the ledger board was in good shape and did not have to be replaced, only secured to the house wall with additional bolts. The small amount we paid for the inspection was well spent because the inspection will end up saving us money in the long run.

Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. was referred to us by our realtor for our home inspection. Our inspector was Cary Cooper. He really took the time to answer all of our questions about his findings. We didn't feel rushed or that any question was too silly. He gave us peace of mind with a few of our concerns and was honest, even if we weren't to thrilled with the news. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely use (and refer)  Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. in the future for any inspection needs.

I called several companies for quotes, and I felt that Atlanta Property Inspections was the most welcoming!  Thereafter, I had a wonderful experience at the inspection. My inspector was thorough, kind, and willing to explain things and answer my questions on site.  He was very knowledgeable and very friendly.  I am glad I did not skip the inspection for this 950 square foot condo, and the review has been very helpful, during my due diligence period in evaluating this potential home.

This was our first experience with Atlanta Property Inspections, Frank Cooper was the lead inspector and he was inspecting a new construction one bedroom plus den in Alpharetta for a buyer client of ours. The inspection report was both detailed and comprehensive. We have tried out a few premium home inspection companies over the past year, looking for a good additional inspection resource, and based on our experience with Frank Cooper, I think we have found it.

Frank Cooper and his team from Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc were excellent! They arrived on time  and thoroughly inspected all areas of the property I was considering renting. They found things that needed to be repaired by the landlord before we signed the lease. Frank reviewed his findings with us. He explained all of his concerns, and he patiently answered all of our questions. Then the next day I received a very detailed report that included several pictures and detailed explanations. If you want a kind, knowledgeable, and thorough inspector, don’t hesitate to call Frank Cooper with Atlanta Property. I would highly recommend him! Truly a 5 star company!

Jeremy was the best to work with! He was on time,  very thorough in his explanations of his findings, and took time with my clients to make sure he answered all of their questions. He was detailed, and provided follow up when we needed additional questions answered. He went above and beyond! Best, quality, customer service I’ve seen in a long time! I’ll recommend him and Atlanta Property Inspections every time!

Tips to Maintain Concrete Surfaces Around Your Home

Finding the key to maintaining concrete surfaces around your house is essential to improving their longevity and appearance. In this article, we will try to provide you with useful guidance designed for long-term concrete maintenance, which can vary from regular cleaning methods to preventative actions against cracks and stains. Concrete surfaces are all around us, and whether it's your patio, driveway, or foundation, protecting these surfaces is important both for structural integrity and aesthetic reasons. Keep reading to learn more.

Inspection

Inspect your concrete for chipping or cracks as you clean it off and get it ready for the winter. Problems with a concrete surface may spread quickly if the weather becomes chilly. Throughout the chilly months, a seemingly minor issue could become more problematic. Any flaws should be fixed as soon as possible to prevent further damage. In colder temperatures, water pooling may also result in an ice problem.

Right Cleaner

To get rid of debris, stains, and grime from concrete surfaces, use water and a light detergent. For more difficult-to-remove stains, use a stiff brush or power washer. It is crucial that you clean your internal concrete surfaces with specific cleaners, depending on where they are located. Concrete outside will usually tolerate a power washer, but concrete countertops will require a different type of cleaner. Polishes, sealants, or finishes are typically applied to indoor concrete. When you use harsh chemicals to clean, these chemicals can dissolve and harm the sealants and eventually harm the integrity of the concrete. So, before cleaning a surface, examine the cleaning product recommendations provided by the makers. If they're not specifically mentioned, just opt for classic soap and water.

Importance of Sealing

Concrete can be shielded from moisture and stains by applying a high-quality sealer every few years. Select a sealant that is appropriate for the particular application and local climate. Choose sealants made to last hard winters if you live in a colder area.

Protect from Moisture

You still want to keep your concrete dry and free from moisture damage even though a sealer will shield it from it. By its nature, concrete is porous and absorbs liquids like a sponge does. Over time, these liquids can lead to fissures in the concrete and shorten its lifespan.

Landscape

To avoid roots lifting or creating cracks in concrete, keep vegetation trimmed down and away from concrete surfaces. Cut back branches that overhang to stop storm-related debris from raining down and damaging property.

Reliable Home Inspection Services

In conclusion, we hope that homeowners who are concerned about maintaining the concrete integrity of their property find this article to be a useful resource. Applying the techniques in this article will not only help the exteriors of how the concrete looks but also protect your property against future structural problems. To extend the life of your concrete surfaces and reduce the need for expensive repairs, keep in mind that routine care is essential. If you are living in the Atlanta area, professional home inspectors of Atlanta Property Inspection can help you determine which parts of your home need repairs and maintenance. Home inspection is an essential process in both buying and selling a house, but remember that it's not its only use.
