Atlanta property inspections gave me a very competitor quote and stuck to it for final pricing. They were able to get someone out to do the inspection so quickly. Frank and James were very thorough and helpful during the process they encouraged me to look at what they found, the good and bad, so I knew exactly what I am buying.  I couldn't have asked for a better inspection experience!

Have used Atlanta Property Inspections several times for my buyers.  Their team is always very thorough and educational for the new home owners.  Much information is shared about past/current codes, potential issues and how to have the issues repaired.  I will continue to use Atlanta Property Inspectors for future inspections, and my clients have been very happy with their services as well!

This was our first experience with Atlanta Property Inspections, Frank Cooper was the lead inspector and he was inspecting a new construction one bedroom plus den in Alpharetta for a buyer client of ours. The inspection report was both detailed and comprehensive. We have tried out a few premium home inspection companies over the past year, looking for a good additional inspection resource, and based on our experience with Frank Cooper, I think we have found it.

The inspector Frank came to our house to inspect the deck and provide a list of safety problems. While he was there we asked him to take a look at some termite damage in the attic.  When he went to the attic he spotted problems with a squirrel infestation requiring immediate action to correct for chewed wiring and unsanitary conditions.  We were unaware of this problem.  Frank provided a comprehensive inspection report in PDF format including multiple photos showing deck post deterioration, sagging joists and yes even a picture of the live squirrel in the attic. Frank is totally professional, knows his area of expertise very well and offers sound recommendations on how to correct problems without spending money for unnecessary improvements.  For example he told us the ledger board was in good shape and did not have to be replaced, only secured to the house wall with additional bolts. The small amount we paid for the inspection was well spent because the inspection will end up saving us money in the long run.

The inspector was really thorough and was patient in explaining to me what he was observing. He showed me where the shutoff valve was for the water and gave recommendations on various things. The report that was provided made sense and pictures were taken of some things that were found. The inspector was also very personable which put me at ease about asking questions. Thank you, Alex and Atlanta Property Inspections!

Frank Cooper and his team from Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc were excellent! They arrived on time  and thoroughly inspected all areas of the property I was considering renting. They found things that needed to be repaired by the landlord before we signed the lease. Frank reviewed his findings with us. He explained all of his concerns, and he patiently answered all of our questions. Then the next day I received a very detailed report that included several pictures and detailed explanations. If you want a kind, knowledgeable, and thorough inspector, don’t hesitate to call Frank Cooper with Atlanta Property. I would highly recommend him! Truly a 5 star company!

4 Common Myths About Mold

Although mold is a common problem many homeowners face regularly, there are many misconceptions and myths about mold. Since many websites on the internet aren't very reliable when it comes to separating between reality and myth, we have prepared this mini guide for you so you can understand the health implications of mold better, and if you find it in your house, you will know which

Mold Is Always Visible

Of course, the most crucial point in mold removal is early detection. So, wouldn't it be great if you could enter a place and immediately see the mold? Unfortunately, mold isn't visible to the naked eye most of the time, and detecting it requires more knowledge. You should look for signs using all five sense organs to detect mold. For example, watch out for musty smell, flaring up in your allergies, moisture, and weird smell from your A/C unit.

Bleach Kills Mold

Bleach is indeed helpful in killing many different microorganisms, including bacteria and viruses. However, it doesn't kill the mold. Many websites on the internet would give you recipes about how to remove mold with bleach. When you pour bleach on mold, it will seem as if it disappeared, so you will think you were able to get rid of the mold. However, the bleach doesn't kill the spores of the mold, and in no time, mold will appear again.

There Shouldn’t Be Mold In Your House At All

Expecting no mold at all in your house is a utopic idea. Until it reaches the dangerous level that causes health problems, it is perfectly normal for your house to have mold in small amounts. There's no point in saying it shouldn't be in your home because mold is a type of fungi. Fungi is a very ancient microorganisms humans have learned to live with since the beginning of history. So, of course, there might be mold in your home; it just shouldn't reach a certain level. In that case, you will have to call professional home inspectors, which brings us to our next point.

You Can Get Rid of Mold On Your Own

Although there may be some at-home remedies for mold on the internet, you should never try to get rid of mold in your ways. According to Environmental Protection Agency, if the area the mold covers is bigger than 10 square feet, you should always leave the job to the professionals. You shouldn't expose yourself to the mold. So, if you are suspicious of growing mold inside your house, first call a reliable home inspection company so they can test for mold and they can guide you on where to find reliable mold removal services in your area. Luckily, Atlanta Property Inspection offers mold inspection services and can advise you on what to do next if there's mold in your house.
